New platform - update and issues

Since the other thread we had pinned had more issues related to our last version and  related error messages - it makes sense to start fresh.  

We are aware of category issues - currently your probably not able to block them.  and there's some wackiness to how they load under last 24.

I don't believe emails were being properly sent if you tried to reset your password.  This should be fixed.  You can also message me on facebook - or email me at jamie@maplewoodonline.com or fill out a ticket here: https://worldwebs.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new (There's a Help Center link at the bottom of the page)

We're aware that at times the page load on the main discussions page can be slow - we're looking into this.

Thanks again for your patience - in the next few weeks I'll try to better explain the advantages of the new platform - why we did it and what the next phase will be.

Another issue at the moment is that recently created threads which only have one comment do not show up in the main list - which is by default recently created.  You can toggle the "sort by" at the top to see recently created thread with one post.

Classifieds on the right will be random.

Just trying to post a resized image - jamie, any chance of setting up a dedicated thread for all of the photographers to check out the new software with pictures? Wasn't sure if that would be helpful or not.

Everyhing has been working really well.  As I said on the other thread a few light searches got good results.  Posting pix is easy- and we don't have to rotate them!  Avatar was a zip-pop.  Just sent a test PM- I really like the return of recipient name pop-up.  Major stuff is good to great- from my point only some tweaks for less important stuff.

Have some categories disappeared altogether? Arts&Entertainment, Pets&Animals... Maybe others, I'm not sure. Getting used to new presentation. It looks nice, and I'm sure the wrinkles will flatten out soon. Thanks, guys!

We're having glitches with categories - don't worry - they be back.

Arts and Entertainment is currently at the bottom of the categories list.

Thanks Jamie for the new improvements. I'm unable to edit my title. The little pencil doesn't respond. Nice photo options.

The category you took down had a response to my issue about not being able to log on on my laptop because I did not remember my password nor the e-mail address I used when I joined. You had a link, but now that I am back at this computer which "remembers" my name and password I do not have that link. Please give it to me again so I can use it to reset my password or whatever so I can use my laptop as well as this desk top. Thank you.

The pencil denotes that the title has been edited.  I'm not seeing the edit title option at the moment.

This is relatively minor, but when I click "Return to all Discussions", the resulting page isn't refreshed (at least not the colors that show read/unread status.)  If I then click the refresh icon on my browser, the refresh takes place.

Thank you Jamie. With a little investigation and memory search I remembered my password

Have we lost the capability of editing our posts?  I just noticed a typo in one of mine and couldn't find an edit link.

sac's colour/screen refresh comment: this happens with me, intermittently. 

I'm on Safari, on iPad 2 using latest iOS. 

(I'd found the workaround, via screen refresh, so wasn't too concerned)

Category blocking should work now.  All categories should be loading now.

Minor question: Will there be a new message indicator at the top?

Minor comments, but not a glitch: Why, when one clicks on messages,  does one have to scroll through several menus just to get to the messages (see pics)?  Also, will there be a "return to discussions" button or just hit the orange menu button and click forums?

But... minor things aside... this looks GREAT.

Thanks for the heads up!  I've been stuck on the desktop - haven't had much of a chance to check the mobile side of things. 

I have the 'Return to Discussions' button on mine..  I would attach a screen shot, but I haven't figured out how to upload files.  (How do you 'drop' a file?)

Looks like we had a 15 minute limit to edit - I expanded it to a week, we haven't had this feature before.
