Need to donate stuff soon

We're moving on Wed., 3/16, and I have a lot of stuff to give away -- mostly adults' clothes (in good condition, of course), kitchenware (dishes, bowls and the like), and unopened canned goods. I've made many donations to Big Brothers/Big Sisters in recent months, but their next scheduled pick-up for Maplewood is weeks after we'll be gone.

If you know of a charity that takes these sorts of things and will pick up by Tues., 3/15. will you please let me know? Please text me on 973 919 4541.

go online to scheduleapickup.com and you can schedule a pickup for Tuesday. They usually are in this area Tues/Fri. I've never had a problem scheduling a day or so in advance. (I just tested it and it showed a Tuesday pickup.)

I use Viet Vets too but they explicitly say they don't take food. The easiest place around here to drop the canned goods would be OLS Food pantry. Go to the side door of the church (along 4th street) and you will see the door to the food pantry at the bottom of the stairs. Most likely this entrance will be accessible all weekend but if you can't get there, PM me and I will pick it up and take it there.

sorry, I didn't see the food offering. Definitely the food pantries. There are also some local people who are offering their porches as drop off sites for Feed SOMany. I saw your post on Soma Lounge and know you can find the specific info there. It may be easier to drop off at a porch than go to the church. 

I recently had a lot of non-perishable food to donate and donated it to rent party.  It was picked up within 24 hours of my contacting them.
