Need someone with Formica skills!

Can anybody recommend a person who does good work on kitchen Formica patching? I have some unsightly damage in my kitchen but don't want to replace all the Formica. I'd just like someone with the expertise to fix the damaged areas without mangling it and making it look worse (which I'm afraid I would do). Any helpful hints would be appreciated.

Do you have matching laminate to replace the damaged areas?

Can you describe the damage a bit and where it is?

It's been a while... but I have applied laminate in many different applications.  Its not a forgiving material, quite frankly.

I don't have matching laminate. The primary problem is a 3-inch by 5-inch hole in the wall of my kitchen, right by a stove and a cabinet door.

Have you checked if the laminate pattern still exists?  We had a base cabinet added, and we found that the laminate pattern in our kitchen still existed. (You might be able to look online at samples). So, we got a new sheet of the same laminate, and it's a perfect match.

I think you'll have a hard time finding someone to do this work for a reasonable price.  Also if the laminate is still available, you're likely to have to purchase a full sheet.  Can you install a blank electrical cover plate over the damaged section?  It won't be perfect, but might just look like an abandoned electrical box.

think about this !!
