Nearby Gardens

We are so lucky to have many beautiful gardens so nearby.Yesterday we went to Reeves-Reed Arboretum in Summit. The daffodil gardens are magnificent and at their peak.The setting is perfect. Then we drove up to the Frelinghuysen Arboretum which is near Morristown. Such a beautiful park. The formal gardens near the house are filled with tulips almost ready to bloom and the flowering trees are bursting into bloom. Just lovely!

From Maplewood Senior Spotlight: The Maplewood Senior Club has a trip to Greenwood Gardens planned for April 27, 2017. Open to Maplewood residents age 62 +. Limited seating on the bus. If interested, call 973-763-0750 to register. Cost $26. per person, payable in exact cash by Tuesday April 25th at DeHart Community Center. Includes lunch at Basillico's.

On April 23, we offer No Lunch and No Bus but you get a tour from Me at 2pm for only $7 and that includes lots of history and plant identification in this 61 year old space. Shameless Garden Promotion. It's a tough world, gotta stand up for what you believe! Resist! Insist! Persist! Enlist!

I went to SIlas Montsier's home in Nutley on Sunday..It is a treasure. They'll be on the tour again...look at schedule from Garden Conservancy's Open Days program. Also, Ron Carter's garden on tour via the Conservancy grin
