Moravian Tile House is for Sale!

Only $849,000!

Taxes are $22,448.96...

Thanks for posting! I live near that house and have always wondered about it. Fabulous details.

There was a thread years ago about this home- can't find it now - Extuscan was our local historian and had loads of info about the town , homes, schools!

That house will either sit forever or sell in a minute. I can't decide which side I'm on.

I don't know but it had open houses the first two weekends it was on the market.

People who have bought concrete houses all tell me that renovation / upgrade of interiors can be daunting.

I've always admired the house and it looks like (from pics) the interior is nicely done.

The location is definitely either love or hate.

I'm actually surprised it hasn't been swooped up.

Why don't they show the exterior front of the house? I don't recognize this house at all.

There's a photo of the front. Click on the pics. I'm sure you'll recognize it. It's a unique house.

I think the second picture is the exterior front of the house (with the 3 big arched windows). There just doesn't appear to be an entry door on the front.

The entry is on the left side.  And there was a big price reduction recently.

I want the sun room

Me too. Sunroom with a fireplace? That is just awesome!

I have tile envy. The workshop where the tiles for that house were made is still in operation, and they still make tiles by hand. It's an excellent day trip.

How many fireplaces in all? I think I saw three.

Speaking of Moravian, somehow I never drove by this South Orange house covered in Mercer tile:

Located the old thread- 2014... link no longer works - bummer

I believe there are 3 fireplaces! Love the "Grand Foyer" fp- not to mention the stained glass transom detail above the windows! I pray who ever buys it keeps it intact! We had friends that had a 1911 Arts&Craft home that restored it only to have the next owner paint/carpet everything LOL

We looked at it last weekend during an open house. There are 4 fireplaces. There is one in the foyer, the living room, the sunroom, and the (enormous) master bedroom. It's a really special house.

It really is a great house, in great condition. 4 Bedrooms, Master and Guest Suites, 4 Fireplaces, Deck, Yard, Renovated Kitchen, Back Stairs, Bright, Airy, Hardwood Floors, Pocket Doors .......

The link at the top of this thread has been updated with more photos, video and other information.
