Montclair restaurant recommendations?

Thanks in advance. Please, nothing too pricey or jam packed. It's for tonight (Tuesday) so I assume most places won't be too crowded. Just meeting a friend for dinner. Have been looking online; there are too many choices! Mediterranean, Greek, Italian all good. Not sure whether she's up for Indian. Has anyone been to the Ramen place - Ani Ramen House?

Brick Lane Curry House, on Valley in Upper Montclair, BYOB. Best Indian, IMO.

Uncle Momo on Bloomfield across from Whole Foods (Moroccan / Middle Eastern, looks like a French bistro), BYOB.

Fricasee French Bistro (near Uncle Momo)

Raymond's on Church Street, BYOB nice beer/wine store next door where you can buy individual craft beers and they can instantly chill wine for you.

Mish Mish on Glenridge Ave, just off Bloomfield Ave.

Mid-eastern in origins with foodie-like adjustments/addtions.

We've been happy with Laboratorio Kitchen and Costanera every time we've been to each.

We enjoy Fricassee a lot. (Although they changed the fries not too long ago and I don't like them as much.) nice atmosphere, never rushed. Several varieties of mussels served in a huge cast iron skillet. (And lots of other stuff too.)

We won't go back to Greek Taverna. We were practically regulars for a year or so and the long time manager left. The owner took over and since then everything's gone down hill. Our last meal there wasn't good. Things weren't served in the right order, items were brought to the table cold, the grilled octopus appetizer was different and served in a sweet balsamic glaze. Yuck. I couldn't even eat it.

Another vote for Costanera

Went to Uncle Momo. Shared a few things. Enjoyed what we had and would definitely go back to try more selections. Thanks very much!

Didn't we beat Montclair in some kind of contest? Shouldn't they be poasting threads on where to eat in Maplewood?

Wow, had no idea there was an NJ outpost. Have had some legendary curries at the original East Village homestead.

Uncle Momo has had some nice Tagine specials. I need to head back again this fall. Glad you liked it.

Went to Mesob for lunch today on Bloomfield Avenue and it was heavenly. We also really like Escape and ADORE Laurel and Sage. For brunch we do Raymond's -- and Toast -- a lot!
