MOL issue

For what reasons do you think it is acceptable for the owners of this website to censor and remove a discussion?  Opinion?

Their sandbox, their rules.  

Owner is the key word. So they can do what they please and it is all legitimate. 

then why call it a site created for open public discussion?

I am not saying it is illegal but it sure is strange.  There have been many political discussions on this site 

if it's the discussion I think you're referring to, it's back in a different place. It was more about the appropriateness of where the discussion was posted, not about the content
