The township has posted a contingency plan on their website to help commuters in the event of a transit strike. The plan is on this page.
TL;DR - Township residents only. 5 AM - 9 AM Get to the Maplewood Town hall for Jitney service to the Irvington Bus Terminal. If you don't have a Jitney pass, the ride is $1. First come first serve, seats not guaranteed. Parking permit rules still apply. 2 Ride share hubs - Maplewood Pool parking lot and DeHart Community Center. Dehart will not have onsite parking, use the streets.
Evening Commute 6 PM - 9 PM Jitneys will pickup near Irvington Terminal (Location TBD) and drop off at Maplewood Town Hall.
I don't know anything further, so please read the article linked above for additional details and contacts.
