Managing/blocking forum categories

We made the process a bit more user-friendly:

Hi Jamie. This is not working using Firefox 48.0.2 on Windows 7. However, it does work using IE 11 on Windows 7 which is how I updated the list.

I blocked a category (smell ya later, Soapbox - All Politics) on my PC after I logged in for the first time to the updated site but when I logegd into the site via my cellphone, the category was not blocked.

I just tried to double-check this on my phone while typing this and my phone can't access the site at all...vexing!

Iphone? - I saw someone else reporting this error: DNS server not found.

Android (samsung). Tried it in desktop mode and got same. Will try different browser.

edited to add: Same thing on Chrome android browser (with screenshot)

Weird - I hope to find a better solution - I found this page where some of your settings need to be tweaked:

Try again - refresh browser - I made some tweaks to the DNS which may help.

Well, for android the instructions indicate tweaking a WiFi setting but I am not on WiFi.

I rebooted phone and still can't get to the site via Chrome or 'droid's "Internet"

are you on verizon - could you try it on wifi at some point so we can see if it's the network?

I may have found the issue - let me know if it's working. Updated a DNS setting - sometime these take time to propagate.

Worked now for me.

AT&T and not working. I will try when I get home later and can get on WiFi.

We made additional tweaks this morning - change can take 4-24 hours to take effect. Please keep checking and let me know if you have any success. (must get fingers crossed emoticon)

Seems to be working now and I figured out why my categories weren't blocked on my phone - I was logged in under a different account!

However, now perhaps you can tell me why when I click my account and "Logout" I get taken to "Classifieds" ...

Yep, I can't logout either.

for now try using a private window amd see if you can logout there. My guys will be addressing these issues in the morning.

Not sure what a private window is but clicking the log out on my phone still takes me to classifieds... But at least I can connect to it all!
