Mail delivery since snowopalypse?
We got mail yesterday, but not today. We usually get ours relatively early (by lunchtime), so I assume they couldn't finish the route yesterday and did the later part today.
We got mail today but not yesterday. We were told that the mail service ended early yesterday due to storm related conditions that impacted on the ability of letter carriers to complete their route safely.
For many of the carriers, the routes have gotten much longer, since they can't cut across our yards. I think good carriers spread the pain, so that no one goes more than one day without mail (excepting Saturday, of course).
No mail since the storm, but - amazingly enough - I received an overnight delivery from Lasership today. LASERSHIP, who NEVER delivers anything to me on the day they're supposed to!

I was wrong - We did get mail today ... very late. (I don't know when, because I just happened to see it a few minutes ago after walking the dog.)
Last night our mail arrived at 8:40PM ... it's rough on the postal workers out there thank goodness it hasn't iced over.
Have no mail delivery since Friday above Wyoming next to South Orange.
My neighbor across the street, a 90+ lady living alone, is waiting for her medication sent by express mail last Friday has not seen any delivery. Mail tracking showed it arrived at Union on Monday morning. Also, according to tracking info, attempted delivery twice due to "Notice Left (Receptacle Blocked)". Her walkway and front door has been snow free to the road since Sunday.
She is home bound, so I drove to Maplewood post office, was sent to Union post office, was told everything is on the delivery truck....grrrr.
We didn't get mail on Monday (wasn't expecting any on Saturday) and had 3 packages on the way from Amazon. The first I was told was being held at Union on Saturday. The other two I got the "Notice Left (Receptacle Blocked)" emails on Monday (also have clear passage to my door AND I was at home at the time, so I know they didn't come to the door) and arranged online to have them redelivered today. Those were delivered with the rest of my mail yesterday evening, and the final package came today. I'm not too fussed as none of it was important, but I know for many it is incredibly frustrating. Same thing happened last year when it snowed, so I guess this is just the new normal.
We received no mail on Monday, but did get our package. I was tidying up my walks when the carrier arrived. He said they had been ordered to return to the Union PO by 4 pm. It would be impossible for him to deliver all the mail and packages by 3 pm, so he was delivering the packages because the packages might contain something important.
I wish you and your neighbor had a carrier so thoughtful.

We got our mail after 6:15 tonight. Also just noticed a number of mail trucks still out and about when I walked the dog at 8:30.
I guess I'll have to go check again, as of 7:00 we had been without mail since Friday.
We have not received any mail delivery since last Friday 1/22. Yesterday I ran into our letter carrier who blamed our lack of mail on the storm. That did not explain why she had mail deliveries for the rest of the neighborhood. In all fairness, she had been on vacation last week, returning to work yesterday. Anyone else experiencing mail delivery problems?
