LOST CAT - He's HOME!

Ollie is an indoor cat that was lost on Plymouth Avenue on January 7. I'm sure he's freezing and hungry. He has a microchip. Please check under your house or in your garage. Call 973-803-1560 if you see him. THANK YOU!

Maybe put some flyers with this pic. up around the neighborhood? Hope you find this cutie!

Cats are survivors. Hopefully he has found a place that is relatively warm. Beautiful cat. Good luck!

Saw an orange cat run across So Orange Ave near Sonny's Bagels this afternoon at lunchtime. Didn't get close enough but maybe? It is so far away but did want to let you know.

He is lovely. Has he come home yet? Check all around your own house outside, under shrubs, in your own garage and/or garden shed. And go door-to-door to your nearest neighbors to ask them to keep an eye out. Indoor cats don't usually go far. Good luck...

He's still not home. I've bugged all my neighbors and searched in as many nooks and crannies around the neighborhood as I can without getting arrested for trespassing. I've put food and a warm box/blanket on my front porch. There are tons of barking dogs on my street so I think he has to be scared to move from his hiding spot. Or...he just keeps running farther and farther away. Sigh. I feel helpless.

 chamieb,
I posted your info and photo on my Facebook page. I
hope this help you to find Ollie quickly. I pray for Ollie's quick and safe
return home.

Just for encouragement, I had a rescue escape who had only been with me for a day, and she found her way back weeks later. She wasn't even from the area. Also heard a tip once that you should put the litter box outside, as their scent draws them back. Worth a try. Hope he gets back soon.

Flyers help.  I lost a cat years ago and the moment I hung up flyers, someone called.  Not everyone reads MOL or SOMa Lounge/Swap.  Kids walk to school and see/hear things.  Are you absolutely sure Ollie escaped - you saw him run out of the house?  Someone once found their cat stuck inside a wall inside their house.  I know people who live live in the area and alerted them.  Hoping for the best.

If you haven't already, please notify MPD, local veterinarians, and local shelters/rescues. These would be the first sources notified if someone found Ollie and brought him inside.

I believe the list serve for the Maplecrest Neighborhood Association still works even though the organization is dormant again.  See if someone with the master list can send an e-mail blast for you.  Join the Friends of Maplecrest Park Facebook Group and post information there.  Check Maplecrest Park if you haven't looked there recently.  It is very close to Plymouth Avenue and has some good hiding places that Ollie might find attractive.

Good luck.

Saw your post in Friends of Maplecrest Park.  Hope it helps bring Ollie home.

Fingers crossed that you find you kitty

He's home! Very skinny and hungry. But we're happy to have him. Thanks for all the support!

Yay, such great news, did he just show up at the door?

Wow!!!!  Great news.

Hooray! I just love happy endings.

So happy he is safe. Please be careful not to ooverfeed him , no matter how hunGry he appears. It can be very dangerous so small, frequent meals.
