Looking to update front of the house outdoor landscape lighting...

And need some good recommendations on lighting products.  Looking for attractive spot and flood lights that come with covered bulbs to protect from rain/snow. Any good names? Stores?

I'll be watching this thread. Our neighbors put up landscape lighting for Christmas, and it was gorgeous. I'd love to find something similar, and I suspect they were solar-powered. We could light our dogwood and willows.

I don't want solar powered although I'm sure they've improved greatly over the years. Are the neighbor's lights bright at night? Our street has zero to poor lighting at night. The landscaping lights we currently  have serve as street lighting as well as to light portions of our home and address. Just want to update them to something more stylish and a bit taller pegs in some areas.

Our neighbors' lights are quite bright, but the house, like ours, is set very far back from the street, so I don't know whether they would help in that regard.

DIY'd mine from home depot.

If you have an outside electrical outlet it's dead simple, and looks great.   It's all low voltage stuff so thin easy to work with wire.

Just make sure to get an extra box of waterproof wire nuts and be sure to get warm white, otherwise the lights really clash with the light coming from your windows.
