Looking for a good place for a facial

Apr 15, 2026 at 9:27am

I did search first but all threads go back over 5 years or so. This is what I am looking for as it's been a long time since I've ever had a facial. This is what I would like:

One: I would like a place/person who is not trying to sell me things or at least not push things too hard. I use my tried and true Neutrogena products as my deal mom always suggested and she did bless me with good skin.

Two: I would like a place/person who can remove a blackhead - I assume that is what they can do but as I said above I am a novice here.

Thanks in advance!

No personal experience - but have heard good things with Garubo - also came across this one:

The Christine Valmay Beauty School in Pinbrook on Changebridge Road. There graduating cosmetology students who are very well supervised by the instructors &/or the instructors themselves perform facials, and other beauty treatments.  An appointment is recmd and their prices are a bargain. The downside is they are students and you must be prepared for it to be slower than in an ordinary salon. Great fun.

Good luck/

or if you have a dermatologist z

ask their office for recommendation.   Many day spas offer facials.

Thanks jamie and mzterry. I received two wonderful recommendations on another platform and both women are local (in South Orange) so I'll check them out but thanks anyway for your input.  My firm actually pays for these - a nice wellness benefit they give each year - so I don't need the bargain. grin
