Musta been some link.

Yes - please provide some content - not just a link:

“People are less worried than they were six weeks ago, less afraid,” a senior German government official with extensive experience in the United States told me. “Now they see the clownish nature.” Or, as another German said on the sidelines of a meeting here devoted to taking stock of 70 years of U.S.-German relations, “People here think Trump is a laughingstock.”

German relations, “People here think Trump is a laughingstock.”

And, he who laughs last, laughs best....

Most of Planet Earth thinks we're a laughingstock now, thanks to the Flat Earthers in the DJT camp, especially Pruitt and Bannon.

Best part: politicians telling GE, Google, Apple, Exxon, etc. what's good for American business. Like they have a clue.

Trump's clownish nature is actually doing a lot to distract the mainstream media from real progress being made in areas of his policy priorities.  While we are hearing about Russia, Russia, Paris, Russia, Covfefe and Russia, has anyone noticed that the GOP senate expects to complete a healthcare bill in July, that the EPA is rolling back drilling restrictions or that the Keystone Pipeline has gone into production?

No, I'm not saying Trump is crazy like a fox... I kind of wish I could have the confidence that my President were that smart. But when the media finally stops chasing Trump down every ridiculous rabbit hole, they may find they have missed a few important stories.

I think Russia and Paris are major items.

Ironically, I have renewed faith that America will triumph over Trump: a couple of states are exploring single-payer healthcare and states/corps are vowing to comply with Paris.

Yup, Keystone's flowing. Expected nothing less since its approval. But again, capitalism may lead us in the right direction regarding fossil fuel and the booming alternative energy industry.

There's a little stuff here and there but I think it's a stretch to call these bits "real progress". Everyone knew he'd do stuff to advance fossil fuels. And the fact that the GOP senate expects to complete a healthcare bill in July -- well, that and a beverage purchase gets you a free donut at DD today, in honor of National Donut Day. Talk to me when something is passed.

How about, tax reform, building the wall that mexico will pay for, defeating ISIS, travel bans, etc.

Maybe I'm overly optimistic but I can't imagine getting healthcare or tax reform through any time soon.

So I can infer that you feel it's fine when democrats try to legislate businesses into bending to their will, that's ok, but when the other party (not your political party) backs out of a deal that would have unfairly burdened us with transfer payments to corrupt third world nations, who have no intention of honoring said deal, that's an issue.

The GOP healthcare bills are a ******* laughingstock.   When Obama was president there were all these bills to repeal.  Now that they could theoretically do something they're tinkering around the edges.

Yank out a map and take a peek at where our most productive companies are and what their trade/carbon policies are. As someone once said, "Reality has a liberal bias."

American corporations will continue to lead in environmental and civil rights policy. Yay America! Yay capitalism!

Why they laugh at us: Vice President Mike Pence said Friday that “for some reason or another, this issue of climate change has emerged as a paramount issue for the left in this country and around the world.”

America to the rescue!

Thirty states and scores of companies said Thursday that they would press ahead with their climate policies and pursue lower greenhouse gas emissions, breaking sharply with President Trump’s decision to exit the historic Paris climate accord.

In a pointed rebuttal to Trump’s announcement in the Rose Garden of the White House, New York Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo (D) unveiled a plan Thursday to invest $1.65 billion in renewable energy and energy efficiency, the largest procurement of renewable energy by an American state.

Meanwhile, more than two dozen big companies — including Apple, Morgan Stanley and Royal Dutch Shell — urged Trump not to exit the Paris agreement on Thursday.

Matt Purple (great name) is all over the map on this post, but he's correct that we've made progress (thanks to the left). Shockingly, it hasn't destroyed the economy like the pant-wetting right has predicted.

Not shockingly, he blames Obama for the collapse of coal jobs. He's wrong, of course. But facts don't matter to the right.

Complete as in pass? Yesterday Burr said he doesn't expect the Senate to pass a health care bill this year.

I heard this today on the news.  I can see it now, our turd president will say this was his plan all along, that big government is not necessary.

CALLING EARTH A “LOSER,” TRUMP VOWS TO MAKE BETTER DEAL WITH NEW PLANET

“Earth is a terrible, very bad planet,” he told the White House press corps. “It’s maybe the worst planet in the solar system, and it’s far from the biggest.”

Yeah, I don't see that happening any time soon.

Latest Quinnipiac poll on healthcare:

May 25, 2017 - GOP Health Plan Backers Could Feel Pain At The Polls, Quinnipiac University National Poll Finds; Only 20 Percent Of U.S. Voters Support Plan
Only 20 percent of American voters say they are more likely to vote for a Senator or member of Congress who supports the revised Republican health care plan, while 44 percent say they are less likely and 31 percent say this issue won't affect their vote, according to a Quinnipiac University national poll released today.

I wonder what kind of reception the White House expected to get from the Paris announcement. Were they expecting this much blowback and didn't care? Or did it catch them by surprise?

in the lovely Shadyside neighborhood of Pittsburgh

Trump is swinging back to his base and Bannon by pulling out of Paris. Now that Jared is on the defensive and Russiagate looms ever larger, the independents will desert him, but if he throws enough meat to his base, maybe he can avoid impeachment.

I think they not only expected it, but they thrive on the blowback, like little kids in a classroom tweaking the teacher, enjoying her flustered reaction. That goes for their base as well. I mean, looking at Fox and friends snark about the 'leftist' response, and noticing other right wing neighbors' behavior, tells it all.
