you have to look at the time on the due date. My car insurance is due at 12:01 am on the due date...and it it is processed at opening of business that day, it is late....most bills are due by end of business on the due date.
but yes if its just for the nov 1 payment, that is legit as that is 30 days late.
don't they take online payments?

Late last month, got a TD Bank statement/invoice saying Nov 1 payment for a loan wasn't received. Statement indicated November plus December total to be due on Dec 1. Upon receipt, we mailed payment 11/24 (Thanksgiving week). TD Bank processed check on Dec. 1.
I have copy of statement showing 12/1 as due date and copy of our cancelled check showing they processed it on 12/1. Experian shows TD Bank tagged me as 30 days late even though they processed our payment on the due date. I filed on-line dispute form with Experian. The next day Experian told me TD Bank held firm to the late status.
Is this their error or am I missing something? I sent a letter to TD, Experian, TransUnion and Equifax detailing the situation and included copy of statement and copy of TD's check processing form.
