It was 60 years ago today....

BTW, I recently read "Paul McCartney: The Life," the 800+ page biography by Philip Norman. I recommend it to any Beatle fanatic. It reads quickly and fills out lots of Beatle and Paul history that I only knew a little about. Like Hamburg. Lots of detail about that whole trip. And girlfriends. And sex. Lots of both. Man, saying this guy did well with women is the understatement of the century.

"Give me a guitar and a place to stand and I will move the world".......later add the drums.

I thought I knew everything there was to know about the Beatles.  But I have to admit your 114 day countdown has me stumped.

114 days and the countdown starts now...

Same here. My only guess is there is a Cirque du Soleil performance set to Beatles music, perhaps the OP is seeing that then.

Or Ringo is going to visit the Maplewood Halloween parade.

Off to Liverpool/London for me. Harry Potter for the kid (Cursed Child and such ) and then, thanks to Sbenois, a private guided tour of all the famous (and infamous) Beatle touchstones in Liverpool..Penny Lane, visit to Elanor Rigby, the Cavern etc. Counting down the days!

Oh and Sben recommended Tune In by Mark Lewisohn. Vol 1 (about 800 pages) and that's only 1 of 3 for the definitive Beatles biography

Eleanor Rigby is still around? grin

OK. So I wasn't supposed to figure it out grin

Have you registered for the tours of John and Paul's childhood homes?  Definitely a must see. But they limit the tours to 20 people at a time.
