Owners Found! Dog is home! - Is This Your Dog? (White/Orange/Brown)

Anyone recognize this LOST DOG? Found on Berkshire Road in Maplewood. Has a micro chip but not registered. No collar, but wearing a harness. VERY sweet. Believed to be older.

Did you think about placing the dog with St. Hubert's, which has the animal control contract for Maplewood?

Hi Elle_Cee - Thanks for your message and suggestion. I will post to the Facebook page your provided!

I have called St Hubert's and they asked me to send them photos and description, which I did. They said they will add it to their folder of lost dogs waiting for their owner and would also put it online. He seems older and pretty stressed out so they seemed ok with him staying where he is for now. Also, the following police departments were notified in case anyone calls in: Maplewood, South Orange, Irvington, and Newark.

Send picture and info to local veterinarians. One of them might recognize the dog as a patient and have contact information for the dog's human companion.

I think the family at the corner of Berkshire and Burroughs have a dog that looks like that.

OK! I am guessing you mean the house that faces Burroughs Way? I am also at that corner. Heading out to knock on doors.

Sorry, yes the one that is more of a 1970s style home with yellow shutters (or maybe the front door is yellow). Apparently, my memory is failing me.

No luck... Knocked and their 3 dogs are all home. They didn't recognize the picture of the lost dog.

I do not know the dog, but thank you for taking the time to keep this dog safe and for trying to find his owners.

If you need to bring the dog to a shelter..drive into Union, claim you found the dog there...and they will take it to their humane shelter....

If he was found in Maplewood, wouldn't you want to take him to St. Hubert's which is Maplewood's contracted animal shelter? I believe Chuck will come and pick him up.
