Irving Plaza Box Office

This is a stretch but I was wondering if anyone knew about buying tickets directly at Irving Plaza. The ticket fee is $10 PER TICKET! $10! The ticket for the show is only $20! Can you buy tickets at the venue? I can't seem to find anything about their hours on their website.

Box office sales are assessed a $5 per ticket service charge. Hours: M-F 12-6:30.

A $5 charge to buy at the venue? That's stupid.

And you can't just show up at the curtain.

Why not just make the ticket $5 more? Is this the ticketing equivalent of the amp that goes up to 11?
