Inexpensive vet near Maplewood.

Stack at Valley vet has always been fairly priced. There have been even times he didn't charge me - like when I brought in my cat because it was limping. He manipulated her leg and told me it was arthritis. No charge.

South Orange Animal Hospital is also pretty reasonable.

Dr. Levine at South Orange veterinary always seemed fair to me.

I started out going to a vet in another town who shall remain nameless, but I left because I became convinced he and his staff were inflating prices and suggesting unnecessary procedures to get more money. The final straw was when a young woman fresh out of veterinary school was selling me very hard on having a cat declawed even though I had expressed my horror regarding the idea.

That's when I started seeing Dr. Levine for all of my cats. Never disappointed there.

If you just need regular wellness care (vaccinations, tests, deworming, microchipping) you can't beat People for Animals prices. They're in Hillside. https://www.pfaonline.org/wellness/

Dr. Stack at Valley Vet. Old school, fair, and reasonably priced. Loves animals. I don't know what I'll do when he retires.

FYI Dr Stack away until Monday.

One of my girlfriends is going to a fairly new one in Union soon and she is going to report back to me as to the service, prices, vet, etc.  I believe it is on Commerce Avenue.

For the past few years, I've been going to Summit Cat and Dog and think they're prices are fair and reasonable. The staff there are delightful and very concerned. Also, I've been to Dr. Wellington in Cedar Grove who performed two different surgeries on our latest rescue. He was fair and reasonable and has a great bed side manner.
