Ian Grodman appointed to TC

I learned today that former TC Member Grodman was appointed to fill the vacancy on the TC. The term expires on January 1, 2017 and Grodman is not a candidate.

Does anyone have any information on why Ian was appointed rather than the Dem candidate for TC, Frank McGehee?

perhaps because he is not a candidate, but has experience in the job. also it is fairer to someone running for office I would think Someday, a Rep might surface and throw his hat into the race He would have to be brave Very brave indeed

The MDC (per state law) submitted 3 candidates for the open TC position, and the Township Committee selected from that list of 3. Frank McGehee did not submit his name to the MDC for consideration to fill the vacancy.

There is a republican candidate.

Huh, Just saw Ian yesterday and the topic did not come up.

Congrats to you Ian! Have a good term, be fair, open and honest as you have always been.
