how to hang a wreath on a fiberglass front door archived

I have a fiber glass front door with glass I want to hang a wreath on the front door. Obviously I can't put a nail it and I was told by manufacturer that a wreath hanger would not fit between the weather stripping and the door. I thought I heard of sometime of magnet that attaches to the outside of the door and another magnet on the inside of the door, does this exist and do you think it would work?

We used something like this in the past and it worked great, if I can't find one in a store locally I'll definitely be ordering one online to use on my wood and glass door since we don't have enough space for an over the door wreath hook.

I saw wreath magnets at The Mill nursery when I was there on Saturday. You can get them there. I don't know how it works, but I know I saw them.

Uhm, I don't think a magnet is going to work on fiberglass, however I will pick a couple up since we have a steel door.

Bob, the magnet doesn't go on the fiberglass. The two part magnet I linked to goes on the glass part she mentioned -- one magnet inside the house, another on the outside, with the glass sandwiched in between.

:shamed:

I've been posting that emoticon a lot recently!!

That's ok bob, wreath magnets are an extremely exciting topic, you can't be blamed for overlooking some minor details in your enthusiasm to get involved.
