I interviewed many nannies for a work project, and found that really good nannies consider the childcare aspect of their job the absolutely most important thing. They might urge you to hire a cleaning service for $100 a week twice a month and let the nanny focus on the kids, which is their passion and what they were trained to do.
(just love the OP's picture)
As similar issue, any one have an idea of the cost for a daily housekeeper for two oldsters?
Job description above is similar - no medical chores. Not there yet,but thinking ahead a bit. Currently home health aids make $25 per hour on part time basis.
TIA
Something to consider is if you'll be paying employment, social security taxes on behalf of the nanny or whether they prefer to be paid in cash. Everything is negotiable.

We are in the process of hiring a full time housekeeper/ nanny / driver for kids and are wondering what is an appropriate salary? Seems like there is a wide range and many candidates make salary demands prior to interview. This seems offsetting as it would clearly be inappropriate in most employment situations to discuss salary prior to a formal job offer. Can anyone share their thoughts/ experiences to help guide us?
