It's all dog food at this point. I feed my cat Science Diet so I'm a bit concerned, although I only have a few cans left. Just this morning I noticed I was running low and went over to Zen Pets to restock. They don't have Science Diet so I bought something else and maybe I'll stay with that until more information comes out about this.
Wasn't sure if the Science Diet mentioned was dog food or cat food. Just want people to be aware that if someone regularly feeds dog food to cats, the cats may not be getting enough taurine, among other things. Dogs can make taurine in their own bodies, but cats cannot. Cats need taurine to keep their hearts healthy.

Not sure why you're mentioning this, citizenjane. Both dog and cat food (mostly dog food) was included in this small recall - see the exact descriptions. Where did you get the idea that someone was feeding their cats dog food? I'm a little confused.
My apologies--I wasn't sure, but thought someone might be feeding dog food to cats.
But it looks like I misinterpreted it. Sorry.
In this listing (cat food, just one type, I believe) -

Interesting that Hills (Science Diet) won't say WHY they're doing this...
