High school Art 1 question

Hi there,

My child, well..teen, is going into Columbia next year and I got her schedule. I see that she has Art 1 for 15-16, which I assume means 2015 and 2016? Is Art 1 the whole year or was there a scheduling mistake and it should switch to Art 2 for the second half of the year? Art is her favorite subject so I want to make sure she has signed up correctly. Thanks in advance for your help!

Art 1 is a full year course. My daughter and her friends really enjoyed the class. The art teachers at CHS are fantastic! My daughter also took fibers and crafts. I believe crafts was her favorite art class.

Art 1, Art 2, Art 3 and Art 4 are all full year courses. Some of the other art classes may be semester courses, but I'm not sure. Art 4 and AP Studio Art are usually a combined class in my kids' experience. The art teachers at CHS are great! Good luck to your student.
