I know someone who would be perfect for this, but I cannot send the listing to them with this language about a "diverse" teen boy. Be straightforward: what are they looking for? A person of color?
Terminology from modeling has always been ridiculous. All-American used to mean white ( preferably blonde and blue-eyed) My guess is diverse means they are open to those that look "ethnic".
Could you please explain diverse? i know quite a few male teen gymnasts who might be perfect, but dont want to send them this if they arent right for the shoot.
I do not work for Scholastic or this magazine but diverse = not white.

Sent to the person I was thinking of, and they're emailing their info! Thanks for posting this.

Choices, a health and life skills magazine for teens published by Scholastic, needs a diverse teen boy to model some simple workout moves (think: squats, pushups) for a fun fitness story in our October issue. The shoot will take place on Thursday afternoon, June 16, in Brooklyn Bridge Park. Needs to be in 7th-12th grade during the upcoming 2016-2017 school year and will be paid. It's a great way to make 00 for a few hours of fun! Email name, age, location photo, & contact info: ktranell@scholastic.com
