Hemlock Falls?

I'd like to take my kids to Hemlock Falls but can't figure out how to do it - the little turn-off and parking area are blocked by the S-curves construction. Is there some way to get there without bushwhacking?

Park across SO Ave at the big picnic area, cross the pedestrian bridge next to it, and eventually take a left. Very well maintained trails.

I'm guessing the falls might be pretty dry right now (but haven't been in to see)

I have. No water.

You get to the parking area from Cherry Lane. The entrance is signed Tulip Springs.

Bummer about the water. Guess this outing will have to wait. But I didn't see a functioning crosswalk over SO Ave when I was driving by recently. The old one seems to be gone and the new ones aren't in use yet.

The bridge is open! We were there on Sunday and there were plenty people crossing it, including us. It's the temporary metal bridge as they install the permanent one beside it. There was a little bit of water at the falls - enough for little kids to splash in, but nothing like it is in the spring after the thaw.

Go there in a few days and I'm sure there will be plenty of water if we get the expected rain. Right Max?

You can also park along Pleasant Valley Way (there are two parking areas on the East side), take the service trails East, cross a bridge and follow the River Road trail North to follow that to Falls too.

FYI, you can purchase a map of the Reservation at the bookstore in downtown Maplewood.

RossesPoint -- do you mean Brookside Drive?

Correct, it must be Brookside by that point
