No need to worry about this. Euclid Ave has new storm drains so the town will be fine.
I am hunkering down for a major catastrophe. Got my survival provisions well stocked, propane stove ready to go, lots of fresh water in the old cistern along with a hand pump. Oh, and a small generator so I can keep watching The Weather Channel during the end-of-times storm.

Is this system associated with remnants of Patricia?

The association with Hurricane Patricia will make it too juicy for the media to resist.
Models continue to indicate a very rainy Wednesday. The remnants of Patricia, in the form a a wet warm front, will run into a cold front midday. A squall line could come through overnight, might even hear some thunder. 1.5 - 2.0 inches of badly needed rain.
Here is the NWS first call map.

Thanks, Max, I had seen that -- just wasn't clear if there was a real association with Patricia or one that was being cooked up and overhyped by the media...
Gonna get out my wellies and soldier on... Have to, considering it will be my first day at workthis week...

It would not surprise me to see a few over-hyped reports/forecasts for the rain on Wednesday. We could get an inch, there may be some gusty winds, and maybe even thunder if a squall line that shows up on some of the model runs materializes. The association with Hurricane Patricia will make it too juicy for the media to resist.
IMHO, the biggest risk is likely to be clogged storm sewers and driving on slippery wet leaves, but I will keep an eye on it. We certainly could use the rain.
