Really nice. Love the "caught in flight", the contrast between foreground and background makes it pop, gives it a 3-D feeling.

Thanks. A Great Blue in flight is something I have been trying to get for a few years. It is not the best quality but its a start.

A great blue flew over our deck one day last summer when we were standing outside. I started pointing at it, shouting "look up" at Jim, and as it went over he was yelling that I should get my camera. But by then it was too late to photograph it, and I just wanted to enjoy the spectacle. Incredible. This summer I just might spend a lot more time on the deck...with my camera. And I want to ask our neighbor if I can take a chair and camera and hang out by the wetlands that is at the back of his property. I'll bet anything he gets amazing wildlife back there.
