Have you replaced a deck? Who did you use or looked at using, and advice?

So the deck on our house is beyond 30 years old, and shows it. It does not look restorable, so seeking any input on people to ask to provide recommendation and bid/do the work? We are considering composite, welcome looking at it both ways. Curious opinions on which is seen more favorably for resale in future? Real wood, or a composite deck? There is the trade off of upkeep for real wood for a higher cost on the composite for materials. For reference, I started with a search on past MOL listings, and came up with Jeff Bader at thedeckpros, summit homecrafters, and jarek. I expect it will be a miracle to find someone to do this in 3 weeks/August when we have to life everything off to access the basement for installation of oil tank; the goal will be to modify deck so there is easy access into the basement when required. (This was done by the people who owned before me....)

We used Freeborne (sp?) decking a few years back. Great service, good quality and easy to talk to. They're not local, but it didn't seem to matter to them.
