Has anyone used Dr Dan Tobias

I have to have a hysterectomy and have seen Dr Dan Tobias in Morristown who comes highly recommended.  Also saw a Dr at Sloan Kettering in Basking Ridge. They operate in NYC but do follow up in New Jersey.

Any opinions on Dr Tobias.  Or anyone else for that matter.

No knowledge of Dr Tobais but would recommend my surgeon, Dr Robert R Taylor.  He’s part of a gynecologic cancer and pelvic surgery practice, office on Old Short Hills Road and surgeries performed at St Barnabas. 

Under another gyn’s care, I had been scheduled for a hysterectomy.  I saw Dr Taylor (he was my third opinion) and we were able to change course.  I did undergo a different surgical procedure but was happy with all aspects of the surgery and his care.  It’s been five years, he’s still my doc, and all is good.  No idea what your personal circumstances are but would gladly share more offline.

I had a complete hysterectomy done by Dr. Tobias a year and a half ago. I got excellent care from the beginning and he is a delight to see every time I go for followup exams.

He does the robotic surgery, aka "DaVinci" method, so recovery went very well.

I was in the Carol Simon Center in Morristown overnight, home before lunch next day.

Optimyst, I too had a very good experience with Dr. Taylor.  He was called in by my OB to help with a very complicated, risky c-section.  He was very patient with all my questions and anxieties, but also very upfront about risks and possible outcomes.  I always said if I ever need any more gynecological surgery I hope he's still in practice.
