Can't give you a tab unless you order something! And what's with the life preserver?
EW Morning Live on SiriusXM had a long interview with Lea Thompson this morning, which was really fun. It has been ages since I last watched the movie but this makes me want to revisit it!

ok. I'll have a cup of black coffee
For the last week or two, I've noticed that when I FF, Rewind, or Pause my TiVo, the counter from the DeLorean would pop up on the screen above the progress bar. No logo, no explanation; just the counter. I thought that was a nice little subtle tribute.
The BowTie Cinema in South Orange will be screening all three movies tonight starting at 5:30pm for one admission fee. Doubt my tuchus could sit that long but it surely would be fun!

I've been seeing Facebook memes on and off for over a year showing whatever day it was on that flux capacitor (?) and saying that "today is the day". It's been a long time since I saw the movie, so I really have no memory of what the dates were, but why so many different BTTF days?

There have been many fake memes over the past few years. . . but today is the actual day.
I have not seen a more hyped day on the internet since May 4th.

That's silly. What was the point of the fake memes?
I missed the showing of the original at my local theater (a rehabbed Shriner's hall now called the "Moolah Theater"). Don't know if I can make it to the showing of BTTF #II. But I do remember from seeing #I when it was first released that the location used for the scientist's house (at least the exterior shots) is a famous house (at least among architectural historical geeks) that you can tour. It is the Gamble House in Pasadena, Cal., the most famous (if not quite the largest -- that would be the Blacker House) house by Greene & Greene, architects of some of the most beautiful architecture the world has ever seen. Check it out if you are ever in SoCal (or even otherwise -- Google is your friend).

Watched these earlier this year with my older son - he knew nothing about the movie (or that there were three of them) and it was great to see him get caught up in how enjoyable they are.
