Google Play: Free Item Today

Thought I would start a post when Google decides to be generous and make items free for the day. I got the soundtrack from Guardians of the Galaxy free.

12/16/14: "Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" movie

Until 12/23: Linkin Park's "The Hunting Party" album

There is a free album every week. It does not seem to be consistent when they post the new album though

Ohh I like that Guardians soundtrack. How do you go about getting the free album? Do you need to sign up for anything?

You go into Google Play store and search for it. Once it comes up, you will see the purchase price is $0.00.

That is assuming you have a google account. If you do you will need to sign in at the play store if not already signed in to Google.

True....I assumed the ppl that would care about this post would only be ppl on Android.

Is there an email or other distro to be alerted to free items?

Sometimes Google Play will tweet about it and often Android Central will tweet about. I am on a bunch of G+ Communities so I usually see it there if I havent seen it first on the play store.

I usually see them in a tweet from Android Central.
