Going to see the Zombies tonight!

At the New York Society for Ethical Culture's wonderful concert hall. Great band and can't wait to hear and see the very talented Rod Argent play the keyboards.

Cool! Spelling aside, Odessey and Oracle is one of my favorites, especially the one-two punch ("Brief Candles" and "Hung Up on a Dream") that closes Side 1. I'll be wishing I were there. Enjoy!

I thought you were referring to this:

It's sold out!! She's not (gonna be) there!!!

Saw Colin Blunstone a few years back and he was fantastic. Still has the voice! O&O is one of the great albums of the 1960s.

Its the time of the seaon......

How would I know? Why should I care?

Just kidding, sounds like it's going to be a tremendous show!

I have a friend who's a huge Zombie fan, and has become a personal friend of Colin Blustone over the years. I'm SURE she'll be there. Bet it will be a blast!

They would be a good act for SOPAC!

I hope they play this one:

Hey, I already saw them! I think it was 1967? 1968? They were great! oh oh

Maybe after she's gone, she'll come back, say how it went.

All I can say is WOW! Rod Argent's keyboard playing was amazing. Colin's voice still hit all the notes. It is truly a memorable experience when you see a band that can really sing and play their instruments -professionals through and through. They've been at it for 50 years and that showed - not in a these guys are geezers so be kind to them in a Herman's Hermits sort of way - in their stage presence and musical ability. They brought it and most bands of 20 somethings would be in awe of their performance. There were a lot of young fans in the audience, people in their 20's and 30's. I guess they do know what good is and there is hope for the musical future. While waiting for the show to begin, we struck up a conversation with a young woman in front of us. She looked as though she was in her late 20's, very stylishly dressed, groovy glasses, and clutching a signed Zombies poster and album. She went to the pre-concert meet and greet and met them. She was on cloud nine and plays the piano and was there especially to watch Rod Argent. Again, hope for the future.

They played all of Odessey & Oracle. They closed with "Time of the Season" - unbelievable - and then launched into "She's Not There" for the finale.

Can we contact their manager and get them to SOPAC?! they will be here on the East Coast for a few months.

Just saw that a bootleg recording of the show is already making the rounds. Sounds like it was a great time!
