Looking for birthday party ideas for my daughter turning 8 years old. Magic, animals (esp. dogs), make up, art, cooking all activities she is interested in. all ideas welcome.
Bowling! We had a great party at Plaza Lanes in Madison recently.

Jewelry making? We did that a few years ago for a child turning 9-I can PM you the contact info for the person who ran the craft, if you're interested. Also, I think King's does cooking parties at some of their stores with kitchen facilities - years ago a friend did one for her son in the Verona Kings. Does Gerrylyn's art studio in Maplewood do birthday parties (on Baker St)? Might be worth asking there as well.

Do you have "Sweet &Sassy" nearby?
My daughter loved that I took her and 10 friends for Mani/Pedis

How about Pink Ballerina, or Fancy Nancy, or a Spa Theme (girls love mani's and pedi's!). Are you looking to do the party at home or out somewhere?
I run a new party planning site at www.facebook.com/partyperfekt. Feel free to follow me or message me for more information and help. I am a local Children's party planner.

Build-a-bear in Bridgewater Mall is great and surprisingly reasonable (price-wise). You can bring your cake and own food to the food court afterwards. Magiquest at the Fun Zone on Route 10 is fun, too.

The Messy Artist on. Rt. 10 has many choices for all ages and party sizes.

The House in Millburn does makeup / hair parties.
