Free Goldfish to a good home

Tewkesbury Orchids/Hearts-Ease Greenhouses is closing. There are a lot of goldfish (several types) in the two small ponds in the sales area.

These are full size goldfish, ranging from 2" up to about 8".

Send me a PM if interested.

I think perhaps the word "goldfish" could mislead people to think you are trying to give away one of the tiny fish that live in a bowl on the kitchen counter. You might get more attention for the thread with a title about "pond fish" or "koi," even if that isn't entirely accurate?

Makes me wish we had a pond. grin

@tomcat - We have room in our pond and would like to adopt some of the fish. I sent a PM to you. Do you know if we can pick up fish today? Thank you! ETA - our pond is 11' x 5' and at present we only have two comets that are about 5-6 inches.

Why would you want to correct "inaccuracy" with a different inaccuracy?

Tomcat, are there, in fact, koi?

There are no koi. There several types of goldfish (I am no expert on fish). Greenhouse/ponds are in Tewkesbury. We are only there on Saturdays. I can arrange delivery to MSO late Sat afternoons if needed.

Sigh. Because it might get more people to open the thread and find out what is actually available. Did I not say that loudly enough? If I thought it was just a tiny fish to live in a bowl in my house, I wouldn't bother. If I thought it was fish for my pretty outdoor pond (if I had one) I would check it out. It was just a thought. Never mind.

Well, I should have been more clear and/or less specific about the type of fish. But I meant well.

Anyway, there are plenty of fish left. Whether you want them for a pond or an aquarium, come on out (see add for orchids & day lilies on MOL).

Saturday Sept 19: I will be there from 10 AM to 4 PM.

Sat 9/26 & 10/03: Sale is open from noon to 4 PM.

Plant sale is open noon to 4 this Saturday, and again on Oct 3.

Goldfish are free to anyone who is willing to rescue a few - or a lot.

The capital G in Goldfish made me think it was the crackers, but I have wee ones so that's the kind of goldfish we enjoy around here.
