Free Dog/Cat Rabies Vaccination

The Maplewood Health Dept. will be offering free dog/cat rabies vaccination on Sat. Jan. 21 from 2:30pm until 4:00pm at the main fire house, 105 Dunnell Road. This is open to residents from any town. Bad weather date is Jan. 28th. The clinic is being at this time so that dogs and cats needing a rabies vaccination can get one before the Feb 1st late fee date for getting dog and cat licenses.

Bump for those of you who need your dog and/or cat to get a rabies shot. What could be more fun on a Saturday afternoon? By the way, South Orange is doing rabies shots the same morning. I know many women are going to March on Washington, so have your husbands bring dog/cat pet to get vaccinated.

You may be interested to know that rabies is the only vaccine that is 100% effective. Most other vaccines are in the 70% to 90% range. So we owe a big debt of gratitude to Louis Pasteur who have save literally hundreds of thousands of lives from this always fatal infection.

Bump. This clinic is open to residents of any town. And South Orange is holding their clinic in the morning.
