Fort McMurray fire

Wow.  These are the scariest fire pics and this is the scariest fire story I think I have ever seen.

Um... Why are those cars not reversing at 100 mph?

A woman I know from an on-line pug community lives here, and had to evacuate. When I last heard, she had no idea if her home was still standing, or even what had happened to her neighborhood. These pictures were so frightening. Heartbreaking for everyone living in the area.

I think there's only one way out and that's it, even though it doesn't look like it in that photo.   Really, the photos are astounding.  They are evacuating 88,000 people!

I just saw it on the news and cried for those folks.

That's horrible.

Amazing. Sad, but amazing...

As terrifying as those accurate pictures are, the most amazing thing is that there are no reported injuries or deaths due to the fire (so far). This fire is so bad that they haven't been able to seriously fight it on the ground. They are still using water bombers. Now they need to feed and house 88,000 displaced people. I have great faith in the Alberta Premier Rachael Notley, but what a heck of a task ahead.

I am in absolute awe of the fact that they were able to get everyone out.  And so sorry for all those losing their homes & businesses.
