Mt. Sinai Jaffe Food Allergy Institute recommends that peanut allergic people avoid Indian, Mexican, Tex-Mex foods as well as spice mixes and foods where "spices" are listed in the ingredient list. According to them, McCormick and Spicely Organics report that their cumin and spice mixes do not contain cumin from contaminated sources, so peanut allergics can safely consume these spices.
