Favorite Benjamin Moore color for bedroom archived

I want to change the color of my bedroom walls, but I am completely overwhelmed by the choices. Please help me narrow them down. What's your favorite blue/grey/green or something like that?

Some ideas from a recent discussion:

Benjamin Moore's Silver Spring - 2120-50

oh, and saybrook sage

We combined Revere Pewter walls with Beach Glass on the ceiling.

I've been in love with Coastal Fog since I saw it used in a chorus rehearsal room that gets nice natural light from east-facing windows. Very soft, neutral, gray/green. I want to use it in our house somewhere as soon as I figure out which room is the best fit.

When we repaint the bedroom (soon, I hope), I want to go with a sage green, with some peach and/or cream accents. I find silvery sage greens incredibly restful and soothing.

Wedgewood gray
Richmond gray
London fog

Always test the color on the walls of your room if you're not sure about it. Also consider the level of light in the room. The three I mentioned look great in rooms that get northern exposure (low light).

I would get several samples you like and put them on the wall side by side. Then, watch them over a few days at different times of day and even in different types of weather to see how sun and cloud cover affect the look. You also want to know how it looks in daylight versus lamplight.

The bedding we use is washed linen in Silver Sage from Restoration Hardware, which has more of a bluish tint than green, depending on the fabric. Restful and soothing describes it to a tee.

Agree with this. Even in the same light our walls and ceilings have a good bit of variation, which we like. We may still have a bunch of bluish BM samples you're welcome to.

Funny, we wanted something a bit moodier and did BM. Chelsea gray with gray horse ceiling, similar to ctrzaska's choices, but deeper. My trim is bone white, because we have a natural colored ultra suede upholstered bed. My bedding is restoration hardware charcoal gray, silver sage and white, so the wall/ceiling colors echo that.

We had Costal Fog in our last house...we loved it!

Not in the colors that you want but we love crushed velvet.

Definitely more colorful than most of the colors listed above, but we painted our finished attic BM Tranquility, and I LOVE it! It's a beautiful color, but fairly green.

+1 on coastal fog

Some others I love
Stratton blue
Wythe blue
Gray owl
Grant Beige
Chelsea Gray
Edgecomb Gray

if anyone has color samples, I would love to try them out! any colors really...

I can't believe I never thought of this, but my "office/craft room" is currently a kind of icky shade of pinkish tan. Coastal Fog is exactly what it needs! Or maybe our master bedroom, which is a kind of spring green (aka, just barely shy of chartreuse) would benefit. I think Coastal Fog might be just the restful tint I'm looking for in the bedroom. smile

We've got Coastal Fog in our bathroom- love it (had it in NJ house too.... (we are big Ben Moore fans, wouldn't use anything else)

i call that colour "bandaid"

My stairway and landing are Bridal Blue, and it has been my all-time favorite color. I actually wish we'd continued it down into the living and dining rooms. That said, it is sort of a pale, robin's egg blue and might be a little too bright for a bedroom. Definitely worth looking at, though, because it is a paint color that will make you happy, and you will not tire of it. (I've been looking at it for more than five years, and still love it!)
