His dedication to education was impressive. I met him in junior high when he addressed our class around 1978 or so. Very engaging - a gentle man.

When our youngest had to read "Night" for school, I decided to read it with him because I'd never read it. I finished it in two days. A lovely man with a loving spirit. He left us with a wealth of knowledge.

I know he was an old man (87), and everyone will eventually die, but I felt so incredibly sad upon hearing this news.

Which article was this. I found an article posted on IHR.org that was critical of Wiesel, but I would expect no less from a Holocaust-denier site.
Probably one about Max Blumenthal and Mr Wiesel Never talk ill of the dead( at least not till the shiva is over) What a shanda.
