Electricity - On or Off ?

Third time today it went out.  Anyone else experience electricity issues ?  Nice job PSEG. Dangerous in 100 degree heat.

--went out 4 a.m., Monday.   Been good since.

There was a car accident on Irvington Ave that knocked down a pole at about 4am Monday. Driver swerved to avoid a deer.

Who else it out of power in Tuscan area?

Got this from Nixle at 6:11:

Alert: Due to a power outage, The traffic lights at Prospect St and Tuscan Road are not operational. Please use caution.

Nixle at 9:17pm:

Alert: PSEG reports that the power in town will be restored between 10 pm and 3 am this morning.

I doubt the incident had anything to do with Tuscan area but it was about the same 4AM Monday time as previous poster mentioned so I thought they might be related.

Power was restored on Courter by 10 pm last evening.  Does anyone know the cause?

Expect this to get worse during a heat wave.  Stress on the grid will be extreme.

We were out on S Valley in West Orange. I agree with filmcarp. Lots of stress on the grid.

I saw several small outages in east Maplewood on the PSEG outage map late yesterday. I was wondering the same thing Joan asked about.

This afternoon, entering Newstead on foot from Underhill, I saw several parked PSEG trucks.  One of the guys was carrying coiled wire to a backyard. I asked him what component(s) of the delivery system were typically giving out, causing these multiple small outages appearing on the map. He said: “The lines; it’s high demand and old wire”. Not wanting to hold him up (heavy coil and hot weather) I didn’t ask anything else.
