Electrician

Simple job -- just repairing a couple of GFCI outlets. Recommendations?

if they just need to be replaced that is a very simple job you don't even need an electrician for.....you might have more luck getting a handyman.  I am having an issue now where i need an electrician for about a 5-15 minute job..contacted many that advertise 'no job too small' ...but none are willing to come for a 15 minute job.

This is often the case with electricians.  Sometimes you need to have multiple electrical projects to make it worthwhile for them to come out.

As jmitw notes, any good handyman can do this job....and, for much less than the cost of an electrician.

Yes, this is my problem, I sense. I will try a handyman.

if you know what breakers to shut off, you can DIY  

I will weigh in here as someone who has done some of these. A lot depends on the condition of the wiring behind the outlet. It might be old and crumbly. 

Make sure your handyman is comfortable knowing when this job is over his or her head.

I could change an outlet myself except I have dexterity issues and don't trust my hands...it is that easy...but if you're not very handy--it is better to hire someone..and any handyman would definitely have the skills....it is not something you need a permit for so you don't need a licensed electrician...but , if it is not just replacing the outlet (such as adding wiring) you should use an electrician...a handyman probably could do it..but I wouldn't trust that.
