Drought area expands in Northeast

Without much rain over the last few days, the region continues to be in a drought. D1, moderate drought zone that includes MAPSO expands, and D0, extremely dry area now encompasses all of New Jersey.

Not good.

I'm in Western Morris Cty and my streams have been bone dry all summer and the pond they feed into is down about 8 inches. I think the fish and turtles are fighting each other in there for space
