Counselor for Female Teen - Montclair

On behalf of a coworker.

Looking for counselor/therapist for female teen in Montclair (Bloomfield, Glen Ridge). Female counselor preferred but, I guess, not required.

Chatham, Summit, M-SO are a bit too far.

No specific issues, evidently, just uncommonly sullen/angry at home.

Joanna Scheier is fantastic. 209 Cooper Avenue, Upper Montclair.

Definitely Patty Dow in Montclair 973-652-1403. I found out about her on MOL and was highly recommended. She helped me enormously.

Dr. Naama Tokayer is a psychologist in Montclair who did good work with my kids.

Vickie Woertz - also in Montclair (103 Park St) - has done good work with my 15 y/o daughter in the field of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), which combines talk therapy with education on skills in improving life skills and behavior choices in the midst of all kinds of difficulty.

Patty Dow changed my life. She's a therapist but also a life coach so she was able to help me create an action plan in addition to providing emotional support.
