is there anyone that will share a password to a cable account that has YES?
Another problem is that the practice of sharing logins is technically illegal. Thankfully, the law is vague, confusing, and very unlikely to be enforced. Each company has a different way of dealing with the issue, with most of them choosing to turn a blind eye to login sharing or, at worst, limiting concurrent streams as a de facto enforcement.
you are allowed to share within the household...1 household member is allowed to use the password at his buddy's house when they are watching the game together...as long as there are 2 residents in the household sharing the password....that is a plausible explanation...
Yankees can spare the income......
Might want to check out YouTube TV, and see what channels are available in your Mom's area. HBO is not part of the service, but there are a lot of cable channels (including the YES network) as well as network tv channels, for $50/month (may also want to verify that price has not gone up).

Especially since they now hold only a relatively small interest in the YES network....
who ever profits from the YES network can spare some subscription money.....especially from the low income elderly and/or disabled..

Well, a large stakeholder in YES is the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, so some of the profit at least goes to retired teachers in Canada. Then again, another large stakeholder is Amazon, so I concede your point.

I have YES network on Sling for my mom. She loves to watch live games. So the loss of Sling access is sad. I looked at Direct TV and it seems like the best plan. $70 monthly with Yes and HBO. and i can cancel anytime no penalty. (which I will at the end of the season). This works out to 15$ more than we pay now, including canceling sling and amazon HBO.
Anyone got a better plan? TIA
