Come out for the North Jersey Pride Run!

The 3rd Annual North Jersey Pride Run 5K & Kids Races will take place this Sunday at 9am in Grove Park in South Orange. 

The 5K is North Jersey Pride's kickoff event and everyone is invited to participate. Bring your kids, your strollers, and your furry friends to run/walk the 5K race or just come out to cheer on runners and celebrate the start of Pride Month! 

The course: A flat, fast certified 5K loop that begins and ends in Grove Park (at Grove Road and South Orange Ave) and winds through the shady, beautiful Montrose neighborhood in South Orange, NJ. 

NEW THIS YEAR: After the race, head down the street to Above Restaurant for a celebratory Pride buffet brunch. Only $5 for race registrants and their family members!

Race Start Time: 9:00am
Kids Race Start Time: 10:00am 

All children ages 3-9 years old are eligible for the Kids' Race. Depending on the number of participants, the Kids' Race may be divided into heats based on age (distance may be adjusted based on age group as well). All children from ages 3-9 (whether they participate in the Kids Race and/or the 5K) will get a medal. 

I just saw notification (secondhand thru FB) that my street and many adjacent streets will be closed. I had no idea, so I'm  guessing  my neighbors don't either. In case residents aren't on FB, will there otherwise be notification?
