I am on disability currently going through chemo treatments. My boss has kindly offered to pay for a cleaning service to help me out every other week. I don't know for how long. Anyway, I could have just gone to Merry Maids or something but I wanted to see if there was anyone local (West Orange and surrounding towns) who needed the work?
I'll PMed you!!
I'm so sorry you are going through that. It's very kind of your boss to help out that way. I had a good cleaning crew I found through the realtors we were using to sell our W. Orange house, but I forget their number now. I got the referral through Coldwell Banker in Maplewood. I wonder if other realtors might have similar referrals to make.
I hope the treatments go easily for you and that you get a clean bill of health when it's done.
Ellen and PJ DeCicco were the realtors who recommended the service I used, first for a deep clean, and then for follow-ups.

Yes, I think I had the same company and only remember the owner's name, Sandra. Call Coldwell Banker-Maplewood to get their info. I'd been looking for excellent house cleaners all the years I lived in Maplewood and only found them as I was moving. They did an excellent cleaning (8 hours!) before I listed the house and, I understand, an excellent move-out cleaning (the new owners sent me a thank you note for leaving the house in pristine condition).
That sounds right. They did a good job, and did not hesitate to send someone back when I noticed that the kitchen cabinets were still a little dirty and greasy in some areas after the initial deep clean.
A friend of mine recently posted on FB about this service, Cleaning For a Reason. Check this out. Seems that you would be eligible for this program.
