Civic Engagement Institute offered by the South Orange Maplewood Community Coaition on Race

Learn how to be a great volunteer and develop skills that are useful in your career, too! The four workshops take place on Saturday mornings–October 24, 31 and November 7 and 14 –and are taught by local professionals who will cover issues like personality and interests, like time management, skills assessments, group dynamics, and the structures of volunteer and civic organizations. Participants meet with local organizaions on site and are provided with a list of additional vounteer opportunities. to read more
