Chrome-Books

Does anyone have any updates on when the Chrome-books will be available for pickup? 

There are times available to pick them up on Friday and Saturday (at least for K-8th grades) https://www.somsd.k12.nj.us/district/information-technology/1to1/

We got ours on Labor day.

Does anyone know why the students are required to bring their ChromeBooks for usage on the first day of school?

 I would guess to get connections ironed out and do any coursework.  Why wait?
