Calling all artists

I received this email below from a good friend who works with a charity in Brooklyn that is looking to raise funds by auctioning off artwork. Please see the email below and PM me for contact info if you are interested in donating any original artwork to the cause. I do not work with the organization, just passing along info if anyone would be interested. (Please pardon the layout below, it pasted strangely here).

I need your help. This lovely school needs our help. I am
helping to organize a Charity cocktail party, silent art auction and
raffle Scheduled for September 21st. 

I was wondering if you
can possibly approach a couple of emerging artists and see if they
would consider donating work for the auction? Anything
would help. We will give them recognition on the invite as part of the
silent auction (at least 5000-6000 people from our end) and put the work
on the school's website as well as a link for future sales
of their work....it's great advertising and many famous artists have
been doing this for years. And not to mention a great cause! 

We need the invite to be ready by end of next week so we can send out and
we can start pre selling raffles and post the works for the silent
auction to start the preregistration to the auction....

this school about 7 years ago. She expected it to help a few kids but
the vast amount of children that attend has become amazing. It gives
kids a purpose and a way of expression and sending them into the right
direction. It gives the opportunity to kids to have better means to work together, create together and inspire one
another. It gives them a little haven and encourages them to see a
hopeful future. It keeps kids safe and also interactive which is
extremely important in this tech world we live in. 

If money wasn't such an urgency their hopes and goals for the future are
to expand in all forms of the arts, music, dance, theatre and creative
writing. And hopefully they can accomplish this....

They
need to raise money desperately and quickly for rent and for paying the
various teachers they need because of how the school has grown.
